West

Liverpool

Loop Line – The Loop Line between Grace Road and Bull lane will be closed due to flooding. The closure is expected until late February 2020.

Halton

Carterhouse Lane – There is no access to the TPT between Carterhouse Bridge andTan House Lane due to works being undertaken by Network Rail.  The schedule for works is (07th March 2020 to 04th April 2020).  During the programme of works the following diversion has been provided.  The works will increase safety at the crossings for the end user as Red/Green aspect lighting will be displayed at the crossing on completion of this project. Stockport

Town Centre works – Following completion of the emergency Gas works at King Street West / Chestergate, Stockport, works will start on BT diverting their services. The traffic signals (including signalised pedestrian / cycle crossing) will remain switched off with the right turn from Chestergate to King Street West (northbound) and straight ahead from Chestergate towards the bus depot movements banned.  A diversion will be signed up to the existing Toucan on King Street West in proximity to Heaton Lane roundabout. Within a week Stockport hope to be able to open the right turn from Chestergate to King Street West (northbound), however, the traffic signals will remain switched off with the pedestrian / cycle diversion in place. Bredbury to South Manchester – This route will be temporarily closed while we install a new underground cable to replace the existing cable that connects the pylons at the Trans Pennine Trail, behind Powerleague, and at Penny Lane, off Lancashire Hill.Please use the diversions on the map below during the temporary closure.

Tameside

Haughton Green – A retaining wall has collapsed across the Peak Forest Canal towpath in Hyde. This does not affect the TPT but can cause problems for continuation of a journey along the towpath.  Advisory notices are to be placed on site until Canals & River Trust can action works. (Updated 26th February)

Apethorn Godley Turntable – Work will commence on Monday 17th June on the Turntable refurbishment programme. Trail users are asked to be mindful of site machinery during this time between Donald Avenue and the Turntable. Banksmen will be in operation. Expected duration – Late October (Updated 20th September)

Peak Park

Longendale -It is understood United Utilities have withdrawn access to their car parks.
