Route updates
From time to time sections of the Trans Pennine Trail may need to be diverted or closed due to maintenance or development works. Our partners try to keep these to a minimum and as shorter time as possible.
For ease of use, we’ve split the Trail up into three sections:
West: problems on the route between Southport and Penistone.
Central: details of problems affecting the coast to coast route between Penistone and RSPB Old Moor (east of Barnsley) and on the north-south Leeds to Chesterfield route.
East: problems on the route between RSPB Old Moor (east of Barnsley) and Hornsea.
