All About Rebecca Rabbit

Who am I?
My name is Rebecca, I am a rabbit.
I am known as a doe as I am female, male rabbits are known as bucks.

What do I look like?
I come in many different sizes and colours! We are small and furry with long ears, short fluffy tails, and long, strong back legs. We have also have long, sharp front teeth.

Where is your home?
In the wild we usually live in underground tunnels called burrows. A group of burrows is known as a warren.

Did you know?
A rabbit’s teeth never stop growing! They are worn down as the rabbit chews on grasses, wildflowers and vegetables — meaning they never get too long!

How big am I?
There are lots of different types of rabbits and we come in all different sizes! Although, we are usually small! The world’s largest rabbit is over 120cm long, that’s one big rabbit!

What do I like to eat?
I am a herbivore, this means I only eat plants! I love grass, carrots and other delicious vegetables!

Interesting Facts!
I have a lifespan of between 8 to 10 years.

I can run really fast, with speeds up to 35mph!

I can pinpoint sounds really quickly as my ears can turn 180 degrees.

I really love the company of other rabbits and am happiest when I’m with lots of my rabbit friends.

I really love chewing and chew up to 120 times per minute.

TASK!
A rabbit can run really fast and jump really high, almost to 1 meter!
Why not practise your jumping skills and see high can you jump?
