If you’re looking for a breath of fresh air, or wanting to sample the Trans Pennine Trail before you plan a longer trip, why not take a day out?

Trail Trips Guides: To help you explore the Trail we have created a series of new, exciting ‘Trail Trips’ across the whole of the route. These easy to follow guides will get you out and about exploring the varied scenery, tracks and quiet lanes that make up the TPT.

We have a few more route ideas below for you to try – see the traffic free sections of the TPT for cyclists and the Equestrian Guide for horse riders. To keep children entertained while you are out on the Trail take a look at the Treasure Hunts and other ideas in our Kids section.

Don’t forget that while the route is well signed, our maps are full of useful information and will help you make the most of your experience. Visit the shop to get your copy.
