A national coast to coast route for recreation and transport – for walkers, cyclists and (in part) horse riders

Every Wednesday – TPT Conservation Volunteers (Penistone-Dunford Bridge) Workday

Date: Every Wednesday

Time: 10am until 3:30pm

Location: A location between Dunford Bridge and Penistone – to be notified in advance, each week.

Further info:

New volunteers are always welcome – you don’t need to let us know you’re coming; you can just turn up on the day and we’ll make sure you feel welcome and know what you’re doing. If you can’t stay for the whole day that’s no problem; you are welcome to come for an hour or two if that suits you better. If you’d like to know more before venturing out, ring for a chat on 077 043 33445.

Do wear… warm old clothes you don’t mind getting spoilt; good quality work gloves, and stout (waterproof) footwear.

Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided as usual morning and afternoon – but you’ll need to bring a mug to put it in!

Due to Covid/Flu please bring:
– Your own work gloves
– Hand gel to sanitise your hands – please use regularly throughout the day
– Facemask if desired- this is a personal choice; as we are working outside and maintaining a one-metre distance it’s fine if you don’t wish to wear one
– A mug

  • Please don’t attend this event if you have any symptoms of Covid/Flu, or feel generally unwell, or have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with Covid/Flu in the last seven days or thinks they may have it. If you experience symptoms of Covid/Flu during the day I will have to ask you to return home at once (but no pretending!!)
  • Avoid sharing food/drinks/snacks in such a way that you could put someone at risk of infection
  • Try and maintain a one-metre distance between yourselves, other participants, and people using the route
  • Shared tools will be put in a designated space and completely disinfected and sanitised before and after each use
  • First aid will be self-administered except in Dire circumstances….
