Who are we?
The Friends of the Trans Pennine Trail are all people who believe in the route and want the help protect it for future generations.

Where are we from?
Our membership is from all walks of life and you don’t have to live on the Trail. So whether you’re retired and looking for something to help fill your time, a busy professional who wants a reason to unwind and relax, a young family looking for safe routes, a student who wants to help promote sustainable travel, or just an individual who believes in the Trail, whether you’re local or from further afield, you’re all more than welcome.

What do the Friends do?
In a nutshell, we’re an active group who support the TPT office and our partner Local Authorities however we can. Our support comes in many ways; from simply chatting to people about the route and telling them about all the wonderful places they can visit, helping out on workdays to cut back vegetation or litter picks, lobbying and campaigning to protect the Trail, having a stand at local shows and helping out the TPT office at the national shows – but you don’t have to be an active member, you can just pledge your support.

How do I join? Joining the Friends is a great way to show your support for the project and joining couldn’t be simpler. Our membership fees are:

Standard Membership£8
Concessionary Membership – 6 £
Family Membership – 12 £
Group Membership – 12 £
