February 8, 2024 – Hedge-laying Training (Darfield, Barnsley) – Free
Free hedge-laying training days with Barnsley Public Rights of Way team. Join the Ranger Team and a specialist hedge-layer to learn how to traditionally lay the hedges alongside footpaths and bridleways this winter. Scheduled on Thursdays from approx 8.30am – 2.45pm.

If you are interested in joining in these FREE training days, making a difference for people and wildlife and learning a new skill then please contact the team (details below) to BOOK your place. No experience necessary.
You will need walking boots, Wellies or similar (sorry trainers don’t protect your feet from thorns). Packed lunch, Plenty of water/drink, Warm Clothing/waterproofs
We provide FREE hot drinks & cake for volunteers on the day, tools and gloves to borrow, hand wipes etc.
First aid kits are on site with qualified first aiders, tool talk and site management before hand.
There are no toilet facilities immediately on site
