Permissions

The Trans Pennine Trail is a free facility to use, open 24/7 but if you are holding an event, vous devez obtenir la permission des propriétaires fonciers. In the case of the Trans Pennine Trail this is our national office as well as our Local Authority contact officers for the areas which your event will take place in, click here for details.

Dependent on the number of participants some of our partners will ask for licences to be completed for larger events and provide further advice of any other private land owners that will need to be notified.

If you are organising numbers of 20+ and using a section road it is advisable that you also notify the local police along the route. Obtaining the correct permission from all concerned is your responsibility.
