Meet Hannah the Horse!
Hello! I’m Hannah the Horse – energetic, full of spirit, and always ready for an adventure! I love galloping along the Trans Pennine Trail, cycling with friends, or simply enjoying the great outdoors. My favourite thing is helping everyone get active and have fun, whatever the weather.
Quick Q&A with Hannah the Horse
Who are you?
I’m Hannah, a horse who loves to move and explore!
Where’s your home?
I live along the Trans Pennine Trail, but you might spot me in meadows, woodlands, or even by the riverside.
What do you look like?
I have a shiny brown coat, a flowing mane, and strong legs for running and jumping. My big friendly eyes are always looking for the next adventure!
What do you eat?
I love munching on grass, hay, and crunchy apples. Sometimes I get a special treat—carrots!
What’s interesting about horses?
Horses are super speedy and can run for miles. We’re also great at working together in a team and love making new friends.
Hannah the Horse’s Key Facts

Try it on the TPT (or your local park)
1) Gallop and Go!
Pretend you’re a horse – can you gallop, trot, and jump over logs or puddles on your walk? Try making up a fun obstacle course with friends.
2) Trail Treasure Hunt
Look for things that horses might like: a patch of soft grass, a shady tree, or a sparkling stream. How many can you find?
3) Healthy Snack Picnic
Pack a picnic with apples, carrots, and other healthy snacks. Enjoy them outdoors, just like Hannah the Horse!
4) Map Your Adventure
Draw a map of your walk or cycle ride. Mark where you saw something interesting – maybe a butterfly, a bridge, or a big tree.
5) Kindness Challenge
Help a friend, pick up litter, or share a smile with someone on the trail. Being kind makes every adventure better!
6) Horsey Moves Game
Make up a game with your family: who can trot, gallop, or jump the best? Try copying how horses move and see who’s the silliest!
