Wortley Car in Parking - We have been made aware of parking problems in Wortley village, which is causing inconvenience to local residents visiting the village shop and church as well as parked cars blocking resident's driveways.

People wanting to park at Wortley and use the Trans Pennine Trail should note that there is ample long stay car parking in a dedicated TPT car park located off Finkle Street Lane with direct access on to the old railway section of the Trail. This can be found by following the brown tourist signs from the A61and follow the lane past the stables (watch out for horses crossing) and turn left into the signed TPT car park. TPT users are asked not to park in the village itself (by the shop and church), but to use this dedicated car park.
