12 September 2010Sponsored WalkBarnsley
Barnsley Stop The War Coalition is planning a sponsored walk for VIVA PALESTINA on Sunday 12th September. We intend to use the Trans Pennine Trail starting in Penistone and finishing in Worsbrough Country Park. We have picked this date because it is the nearest date to the 9th anniversary of the official opening of the Trail. One of our most enthusiastic members, Robin Norbury, sadly died this year and as well as being a passionate peace campaigner, and for justice for Palestine he played a pivotal role in establishing the trail. So the sponsored event is both a tribute to him and supporting 2 causes dear to his heart.
