User Code - a simple code to keep everyone safe and happy on the Trail, however you travel. We also have some useful tips for anyone heading out on the TPT, whether you are a walker, a cyclist, wanting to explore the Trail on horse-back or heading out with the family.

Map Reading 2009Trail mapping - There are three official route maps available that cover the whole of the Trans Pennine Trail.  This section gives more detailed information about the sections covered by the maps and their availability.

Visitor & Accommodation Guide Updates - The 3rd Edition of the official Trans Pennine Trail Visitor & Accommodation Guide was updated in summer 2008. Occasionally there are additions and corrections to the information in our guide. Visit this section to get the latest update.

Route changes and works - From time to time sections of the Trans Pennine Trail needs to be diverted to allow for maintenance, route changes or further development within a specific area.  Visit this section to find out if there are any potential changes or disruption on the trail.

Access controls - To ensure that only legitimate users have access to the TPT, many sections of the Trail have access controls.  We have tried to give a brief outline of those you may encounter.

Cycles on trains - Cycles are carried on most train companies operating on the rail network but each company has its own rules about taking cycles on its trains. Here you can find details for train operators serving the TPT route.
